Fave Quote:   "If there is no struggle, there is no progress" - Frederick Douglass

Why: This quote is the opening line of Frederick Douglass' “West India Emancipation” speech at Canandaigua, New York given on August 3, 1857. Although he is speaking to the national plight of slavery, it still reminds me that through the collective power and hard work of a community, we can work together to build freedom and progress for us all.
